Setting Up Your Child's Profile
Once you've created your parent account, the next step is setting up your child's student profile. This tells the AI tutor who they're working with — their age, grade level, and eventually their learning preferences — so every session is personalised from the start.
Creating Your Child's Profile During Onboarding
When you first sign up, the onboarding wizard walks you through adding your child in Step 2 of 4. Here's what you'll need to provide:
Basic Information

Choosing an Avatar
This is the fun part! Your child picks a cartoon character that represents them across the platform — on the student selection screen, the dashboard, and in session. There are 20 to choose from, including Wise Owl, Creative Fox, Brave Lion, Gamer Wolf, Space Explorer Bunny, and more.

Adding Multiple Children
If you have more than one child, click the "Add Another" button (it appears once you've filled in the first child's name and birthday). You can add all your children at once before continuing.
The number of student profiles you can create depends on your subscription plan:
You can always add more students later from Settings.
Setting Up the Parent PIN
After entering your child's details, Step 4 of 4 asks you to create a 4-digit parent PIN.

This PIN protects your parent settings (billing, student management, privacy) from being accessed by your child when they're using the app. You'll be asked for this PIN whenever you access the Settings area.

Customising Your Child's Profile After Setup
The onboarding collects just the essentials to get started quickly. Once you're up and running, there's much more you can configure to personalise the tutoring experience.
How to Access Student Settings

Basic Information (Editable)
On the student detail page, you can update:
Grade and age are displayed but are read-only (age is calculated from birthday).
Languages
Your child's profile supports multiple languages, ordered by priority. The first language in the list is the primary one used by the AI tutor.
Learning Preferences
These settings directly influence how the AI tutor interacts with your child. All changes save automatically.

Parent Notes
This is a free-text area where you can write anything you'd like the AI tutor to know about your child. These notes are fed directly into the tutor's system prompt, so they actively shape the session.
Good examples:

AI Learning Memory
Below Parent Notes, you'll find the AI Learning Memory — an auto-generated narrative summary of what the AI tutor has learned about your child across sessions. This updates automatically after each session.
You can:
This memory helps the AI tutor build continuity between sessions — remembering what your child has mastered, where they struggled, and what they enjoy.
Managing Student Profiles
Adding a Student Later
The "Add Student" button will be disabled if you've reached your plan's student limit. You'll see a banner showing your current count (e.g. "2 / 3 students").
Editing a Student
Click on any student's name in Settings > Students to open their detail page. All fields use click-to-edit with auto-save — just click, change, and it's saved.
Removing a Student
Click the Delete button on a student card in Settings > Students. This permanently removes the student profile and all their session history.
